2.1 also brings in a tweet stream gap detection, something users have been complaining when 2.0 launched. If you load Tweetie after several hours have passed, there’s a gap in between the new tweets and the previously cached tweets, thereby losing you hours worth of wisdom. As seen in the screenshot, 2.1 has a sort of crimp, which will load in tweets from in between sessions. There’s also report spam, translate, “What the trend”, and a lot of other minor changes as can be seen in the changelog. Loren has pretty much stuffed in everything a twitter client needs, while still keeping the app as clean and light as it always was. And he did all this without charging another $2.99 for it!
If you’re already a Tweetie user, you’ve probably already updated your app. If you aren’t, I’d highly suggest you check out what I feel is the current best iPhone twitter client.
